Indigo Airlines Aircraft Faces Technical Glitch at Hyderabad Airport, Passengers Safe

Date:

What Happened at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport

At Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Shamshabad, an Indigo Airlines aircraft faced a sudden technical malfunction while preparing for operations. The issue was detected by the flight crew and ground staff before takeoff, after which the aircraft was immediately brought to a halt for safety inspection.

The technical glitch forced the airline to temporarily delay the flight while engineers examined the aircraft.

Passengers Safely Shifted

All passengers onboard were safely moved to the terminal building.
Airline officials ensured that no one was harmed. Proper announcements and safety procedures were followed to avoid panic.

Indigo arranged alternative flights and support services for the affected passengers.

Cause of Technical Issue

Initial reports indicate that the problem was related to a mechanical component in the aircraft.
As per aviation safety norms, the plane was grounded until the engineering team completed a full inspection and necessary repairs.

The airline also initiated an internal review to determine how the issue developed and to prevent such occurrences in the future.

Airport Operations Unaffected

Despite the technical glitch, overall airport operations at Hyderabad continued normally.
Additional staff were deployed to manage passenger flow and ensure smooth functioning of other flights.

Statement by Indigo

Indigo stated that passenger safety is their highest priority and that all protocols were followed strictly.
They assured that the aircraft will only be cleared after meeting all airworthiness standards.
