Punjab Schools Extend Winter Break Until January 13

Reasons for Extended Closure

Minister Bains conveyed the extension via social media, emphasizing the continuous increase in cold temperatures and fog. The primary concern behind this directive is to ensure the well-being and safety of both students and staff members.

Scope of the Order

The revised holiday schedule impacts a broad range of educational establishments. This includes all government-run schools, aided institutions, officially recognized schools, and privately operated schools throughout Punjab. Originally, schools were slated to resume classes on January 8.
