US Official Pete Hegseth Reiterates Firm Stance on Iran’s Nuclear Ambitions

Date:

The United States has once again issued a stern warning to Iran concerning its nuclear development program. US Secretary of War Pete Hegseth stated that the American military is fully prepared should Tehran advance its efforts to acquire nuclear weapons.

US Military Readiness

Secretary Hegseth underscored that any necessary measures would be undertaken, aligning with President Donald Trump’s directives. During a recent cabinet meeting, he highlighted the rapid increase in the US military’s presence and its assertive re-establishment of power across the Middle East. Hegseth urged Iran to refrain from developing nuclear capabilities, stressing that they should not pursue such a path. He also affirmed the War Department’s readiness to meet President Trump’s expectations.

Operation References and Regional Presence

Hegseth referenced “Operation Midnight Hammer,” an action previously carried out under Trump’s orders targeting Iran’s nuclear infrastructure. He relayed President Trump’s explicit commitment that Iran would never be able to construct a nuclear bomb. The US Navy maintains a significant deployment in the Middle East, including the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln, which Trump has described as a substantial force heading towards Iran. This carrier group is poised to swiftly execute its mission. Hegseth cautioned the Iranian administration that time is limited and a just nuclear agreement should be finalized promptly.
