Bomb Threat at Punjab Court Complex Triggers Panic, Security Tightened

Date:

Threat Message Creates Panic at Court Complex

Panic spread at a court complex in Punjab after authorities received information about a bomb threat targeting the premises. The alert immediately triggered a massive security response, with police and other security agencies rushing to the spot.

According to officials, the threat led to temporary chaos as lawyers, litigants, and visitors present inside the court complex were asked to vacate the premises as a precautionary measure. Security personnel cordoned off the entire area while search operations began.

The sudden development disrupted normal court proceedings for some time. Many people gathered outside the premises while security agencies conducted a detailed inspection to ensure public safety.

Police and Bomb Squad Launch Search Operation

Soon after receiving information about the threat, local police teams reached the court complex along with bomb disposal squads and sniffer dog units. The area was sealed and every section of the premises was thoroughly checked.

Authorities conducted anti-sabotage checks in courtrooms, corridors, parking areas, and nearby buildings. Officials said the search operation was part of standard security protocol followed in such situations.

Similar incidents in different parts of the country have prompted security agencies to treat all threat messages seriously and respond quickly to avoid any potential danger.

Court Premises Evacuated as Precaution

As the threat information spread, the administration quickly evacuated judges, lawyers, staff members, and visitors from the court complex.

Police requested people to stay away from the premises until the search operation was completed. Security officials also monitored the surrounding areas to ensure that no suspicious activity was taking place.

Such precautionary evacuations are a routine safety measure whenever authorities receive information about a possible bomb threat.

Investigation Launched to Trace Source of Threat

After the search operation, police initiated an investigation to trace the origin of the threat. Cyber teams are examining whether the warning was sent through an email or other digital platform.

Authorities said that identifying the sender is crucial to determine whether the threat was genuine or a hoax.

In many recent cases across India, similar bomb threats sent via email have later turned out to be false alarms after detailed security checks found no explosives.

Security Remains on High Alert

Police officials said security around the court complex and nearby government buildings has been tightened following the incident. Additional personnel have been deployed to maintain law and order.

Authorities also urged citizens not to panic and assured that all necessary safety measures are being taken. They emphasized that strict action will be taken against anyone found responsible for spreading such threats.

The investigation is currently underway, and police expect to gather more information once digital evidence and technical data are analyzed.
