In an effort to bolster public safety and deter anti-social activities, the Government Railway Police (GRP) along with local security personnel launched a comprehensive search operation at the Ludhiana Railway Station. Security teams carried out rigorous screening across all major platforms, entrance points, and waiting halls to ensure passenger safety and maintain strict vigil.

Thorough Frisking and Baggage Scanning Executed

During the operation, GRP officials deployed specialized security equipment to scan unattended luggage and inspect incoming passenger bags. Sniffer dogs and metal detectors were utilized to inspect critical zones, including the parcel ground, ticket booking counters, and vehicle parking areas. Random identity checks were also conducted on travelers present on platforms and inside stationary trains.

Focus on Anti-Social Elements and Contraband Prevention

Senior officers leading the drive emphasized that the special checking aims to curb drug trafficking, identify suspicious persons, and neutralize potential security risks.
