Daylight Attack Leaves 20-Year-Old Dead
A shocking murder case has emerged from Chandigarh, where a 20-year-old youth was brutally stabbed to death in broad daylight. The incident took place on the 18-foot road in Dadu Majra’s Gas Colony area. The entire attack was captured on CCTV, and the disturbing footage has sparked outrage among residents and social media users.
Attackers Surrounded the Victim
According to police and local reports, the deceased, identified as Suraj, was riding his motorcycle with a friend when 4 to 5 attackers intercepted them on scooters. Suraj’s friend managed to escape, but the assailants surrounded Suraj and repeatedly attacked him with knives in front of passersby.
Bystanders Recorded Video but Did Not Intervene
One of the most disturbing aspects of the incident is that several people were present at the scene. Instead of stepping in to help, many reportedly filmed the attack on their mobile phones. The 55-second CCTV clip shows Suraj screaming for help as the attackers continued stabbing him.
Victim Declared Dead at Hospital
Police reached the spot after receiving information and rushed Suraj to the hospital. However, doctors declared him dead on arrival. Preliminary investigations suggest that some of the accused may be minors.
Police Identify Suspects
Chandigarh Police stated that the suspects have been identified and raids are underway to arrest them. Investigators are examining all possible motives, including personal rivalry and gang involvement.

The victim’s family has demanded strict action against the accused and called for stronger measures against rising crime and drug abuse in the area. The brutal nature of the murder has raised serious questions about public safety and society’s lack of intervention during emergencies.
