Bomb Threat Reported Mid-Air
An IndiGo flight (6E 762) traveling from Mumbai to Delhi on Tuesday, September 30 received a bomb threat around 8 AM. The aircraft, carrying nearly 200 passengers, immediately triggered an emergency response at Delhi Airport.
Emergency Protocols at Delhi Airport
As soon as authorities were informed, Delhi Airport declared a full emergency. Security was heightened, and strict safety protocols were followed during the aircraft’s landing. Fortunately, no suspicious object was found during the inspection.
Passengers and Luggage Thoroughly Checked
After a safe landing, all passengers were deboarded, and a comprehensive search of the aircraft was conducted. Passengers’ baggage also underwent strict security checks. Until the checks were completed, additional security arrangements were put in place across the airport.
Threat Deemed Non-Specific
Initial investigation suggested that the bomb threat was non-specific, meaning it did not point to any direct or credible danger. However, security agencies ensured that all standard safety protocols were strictly followed to rule out any risks.
