Heavy Security Deployed Across Jalandhar

Jalandhar has been placed under high alert, with the city completely sealed following the announcement of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit. Security agencies have intensified vigilance across all major locations, entry points, and sensitive zones. The move comes as part of a comprehensive security strategy to ensure the safety of the Prime Minister and the public.

Multiple teams from Punjab Police, paramilitary forces, and intelligence agencies have been deployed. Checkpoints have been set up on highways, internal roads, and border areas connecting nearby districts.

Strict Checking and Restricted Movement

Authorities have imposed strict vehicle checking throughout the city. Entry of heavy vehicles has been restricted, and unnecessary movement is being discouraged. Police personnel are conducting identity verification and vehicle inspections at multiple locations.

Schools, Traffic, and Public Advisory

Schools and educational institutions in selected areas may remain closed or operate with limited timings, depending on local administration orders.

Administration Appeals for Public Cooperation

The district administration has appealed to citizens to remain calm and avoid spreading rumors. Officials clarified that the high alert is a preventive security measure and there is no immediate threat.

Senior officers are monitoring the situation round-the-clock, and emergency response teams are on standby.
