High-Speed Collision Leads to Tragic Accident
A tragic road accident in Ludhiana, Punjab, has shocked local residents after a high-speed collision claimed the lives of two people and left another seriously injured. The incident occurred late at night on a busy road in the city when a reckless driver reportedly lost control of his vehicle and collided with other vehicles traveling on the road.
According to initial reports, the accident involved a motorcycle and an auto-rickshaw. Witnesses said the speeding vehicle first struck a motorcyclist and then crashed into another auto-rickshaw coming from the opposite direction. The impact was so severe that both vehicles were badly damaged and scattered across the road.
Two Victims Die on the Spot
Authorities confirmed that two individuals died in the accident. One of the victims was a young man riding a motorcycle, while the other victim was a passenger traveling in the auto-rickshaw. Both victims suffered severe injuries due to the powerful collision and were declared dead at the scene.
Local residents immediately informed emergency services after hearing the loud crash. Police and ambulance teams rushed to the location and transported the injured victims to a nearby hospital. Unfortunately, doctors could not save two of the victims because of the seriousness of their injuries.
Woman Seriously Injured, Children Miraculously Safe
A woman traveling in the auto-rickshaw was seriously injured during the crash. She sustained fractures and other injuries and is currently undergoing treatment at a hospital in Ludhiana.
In a miraculous turn, three children who were also present in the auto-rickshaw survived the accident without major injuries. Doctors said it was fortunate that the children were seated in a position that prevented severe harm during the collision.
Driver Flees the Scene After Accident
Police officials stated that the driver responsible for the accident fled the scene immediately after the crash, leaving the damaged vehicle behind. Authorities have registered a case against the unidentified driver and launched a search operation to locate him.
Investigators are examining the vehicle’s registration details and nearby CCTV footage to identify the suspect. Officials said strict action will be taken once the accused is caught.
Police Investigation Underway
The Ludhiana police have registered a case under relevant sections related to rash driving and causing death due to negligence. The damaged vehicles have been seized and forensic teams are examining the accident site.
Authorities have appealed to citizens to follow traffic rules and avoid overspeeding, which continues to be one of the leading causes of fatal accidents in the region.
