WWE Wrestler Faces Battery Charge in Florida
WWE superstar Ludwig Kaiser, whose real name is Marcel Barthel, has reportedly been arrested in Florida after allegedly assaulting a neighbor during an argument inside an apartment building elevator. According to multiple media reports, the incident happened at an apartment complex in Orlando, where the wrestler was accompanied by a woman.
Police documents claim that the victim entered an elevator with Kaiser and the woman, who were allegedly behaving in an “uncontrollably intimate” manner. The situation escalated after the man reportedly asked the couple to “have some manners.”
Alleged Fight Outside the Elevator
As per the arrest affidavit, the victim said that after stepping out of the elevator on the 12th floor, he made a comment about the couple’s behavior. Authorities allege that Kaiser reacted violently and punched the man multiple times before pushing him to the ground.
Police officers responding to the scene reportedly observed scratches and redness on the victim’s head, which they said appeared consistent with a recent physical altercation. Surveillance footage from the apartment complex was also reviewed during the investigation.
Surveillance Footage Helped Investigation
Investigators later identified Kaiser through security camera footage and witness statements. Reports say the victim also identified the wrestler from a photo lineup shown by police.
The WWE performer was eventually charged with misdemeanor battery. Authorities stated that Kaiser learned about the arrest warrant while he was reportedly in Mexico for work commitments. He later returned to Orlando and surrendered himself to law enforcement officials.
Released on Bond After Arrest
Court records show that Kaiser was released after posting a $1,000 bond. His legal team has reportedly entered a plea of not guilty and requested permission for him to continue international travel due to professional wrestling commitments.
The wrestler is currently involved in WWE and AAA wrestling storylines and is expected to appear at upcoming wrestling events in Mexico. His attorneys have argued that international travel is necessary for his career obligations.
WWE Yet to Issue Detailed Statement
As of now, WWE has not released a detailed public statement regarding the arrest. The incident has generated widespread discussion among wrestling fans on social media, with many waiting to see how the company responds in the coming days.
The case remains under investigation, and further court proceedings are expected in the near future.
