Clash Between Two Groups Turns Deadly
A tragic incident unfolded in a border area of Punjab where a violent clash between two groups of youths resulted in the death of a man due to firing. The incident occurred under the jurisdiction of Sarai Amanat Khan police station, involving residents of villages Cheema Kalan and Cheema Khurd.

Despite not being directly involved in the fight, he became an unintended victim. He succumbed to his injuries on the spot, leaving his family in shock and grief.
Family’s Statement and Local Reaction
The deceased’s wife, Manjit Kaur, stated that her husband had stepped outside after hearing noise from the clash. He was not part of either group but was caught in the crossfire.
The incident has sparked anger among locals, who are demanding swift justice and accountability.
Protest Against Police Inaction
Following the incident, members of a labor union and local leaders staged a protest outside the police station. They alleged that the police response was slow and inadequate.
Protesters placed the victim’s body in front of the police station, demanding immediate arrest of the accused and strict legal action against those responsible.
