Tragic Collision Occurs on Sahaswan-Nadha Road Near Manakpur
A severe road accident occurred in the Sahaswan Kotwali police station area of Budaun district when a speeding tractor-trolley collided head-on with an auto-rickshaw carrying schoolchildren. The collision took place at approximately 8:30 AM near Manakpur village along the busy Sahaswan-Nadha route. The impact caused immediate panic among onlookers and commuters who rushed to render assistance to the stranded students. Authorities were alerted shortly after the incident unfolded, prompting emergency responders to reach the site without delay.
Six Students Sustained Injuries in Road Crash
A total of six students suffered varying degrees of injuries as a result of the violent crash. According to Superintendent of Police (Rural) Hridesh Kumar Katheria, all the injured children reside in Ibrahimpur Garhi village and were commuting to their respective educational institutions when the mishap occurred. The injured students have been identified as Bhagwati (16), Kishanpal (13), Preeti Yadav (17), Nandkishore (12), Ramgopal (14), and Rajni (11). Emergency personnel transported all six victims to the District Hospital for prompt medical evaluation and treatment. Hospital authorities confirmed that all students are in stable condition and out of danger.
Police Action and Driver Apprehended
Local law enforcement acted swiftly following the incident. Police officers arrived at the scene, cleared the damaged vehicles to restore normal traffic flow on the Sahaswan-Nadha road, and initiated an investigation into the cause of the collision. The driver operating the speeding tractor-trolley was promptly taken into custody by police personnel. Legal proceedings are currently underway against the driver for reckless driving and endangering public safety, while law enforcement continues to monitor the road conditions in the area.
