The updated Status editor will provide an AI-powered experience, moving beyond standard filters to offer sophisticated tools driven by Meta AI. Reports indicate that select iOS beta users are already experiencing this new image editing interface, which allows for creative transformations of pictures without the necessity of third-party applications.
These new functionalities include a variety of unique visual styles such as 3D, Comic Book, Anime, Painting, Kawaii, Clay, Felt, Classical, and Video Game themes. Unlike simple filters, the AI will intelligently re-render entire images to match the chosen aesthetic, ensuring a natural and professional look. A ‘Redo’ feature will also be available, enabling users to regenerate an image in the same style with a single tap if the initial result is not to their liking.
Enhanced Creativity and Control
Beyond stylistic changes, Meta AI will offer comprehensive editing options. Users will be able to remove unwanted objects or introduce new elements into their photos.
