Indian women’s cricket team vice-captain Smriti Mandhana has officially confirmed that her wedding with musician Palash Muchhal has been called off. The star opener took to social media to release a statement, putting an end to weeks of intense speculation regarding her relationship status. In her message, she requested fans and the media to respect the privacy of both families during this difficult time.

The rumors of a rift had been circulating for some time after the couple’s social media interactions ceased, and reports of a postponed wedding began to surface. Mandhana’s statement marks the first official confirmation, clarifying that the decision to part ways was mutual and arrived at after careful consideration.
