How the Property Dealer Was Killed
The incident that triggered the investigation took place a few days ago in Sector-9 of Chandigarh. The victim, a property dealer, had reportedly just stepped out of a gym and was heading towards his car to return home.
At that moment, attackers who were waiting nearby surrounded him and opened fire. Witnesses reported hearing multiple gunshots, which created panic in the area. The victim was critically injured in the attack.
People present at the scene rushed him to the hospital in an attempt to save his life. However, due to excessive bleeding, he succumbed to his injuries on the way to the hospital.
CCTV Footage Helped Police Track Suspects
During the investigation, police closely examined CCTV footage from the area. The footage reportedly showed the attackers carrying out the shooting and fleeing from the spot on a motorcycle.
Using the video evidence and technical surveillance, police managed to identify the suspects and trace their movements. This eventually led to the encounter operation in which both accused were apprehended.
Authorities have stated that the investigation is still ongoing and more arrests could be made if additional suspects are found to be involved in the crime.
Police officials also assured that strict action will be taken against all individuals connected to the murder.
