Shreya Ghoshal Buys Luxury ₹29 Crore Apartment in Mumbai’s Worli

Date:

Popular Singer Invests in Premium Mumbai Property

Renowned Indian playback singer Shreya Ghoshal has reportedly purchased a luxury apartment in the upscale locality of Worli in Mumbai. The high-value property deal, worth around ₹29.7 crore, has attracted widespread attention in the entertainment and real estate sectors.

According to property registration documents, the apartment was bought jointly by Shreya Ghoshal along with her parents, Shamishtha Ghoshal and Biswajit Ghoshal. The deal was officially registered in April 2026 and is considered one of the notable celebrity property purchases this year.

Apartment Located in Premium Residential Project

The newly purchased residence is located in a luxury residential project known as Godrej Trilogy, a premium development in Worli. The apartment reportedly features a carpet area of about 2,430 square feet and a total area of approximately 2,750 square feet.

In addition to spacious interiors, the property also includes three designated car parking spaces, adding to its exclusivity and convenience. Real estate experts say such luxury projects in South Mumbai attract high-net-worth individuals, celebrities, and business leaders due to their premium amenities and location advantages.

Stamp Duty and Registration Details

The property transaction involved a substantial amount of statutory charges. Reports indicate that stamp duty worth around ₹1.78 crore was paid for the deal, along with additional registration charges.

The transaction was recorded on the official portal of the Inspector General of Registration (IGR), which tracks real estate deals across Maharashtra. Such high-value property purchases often highlight the strong demand for luxury housing in Mumbai’s prime locations.

Why Worli Is a Prime Real Estate Destination

Worli has emerged as one of the most sought-after real estate markets in South Mumbai. The area is known for its luxury residential towers, sea-view apartments, and excellent connectivity.

The locality is strategically connected through the Bandra–Worli Sea Link and major roads like Annie Besant Road, allowing easy travel to key business districts such as Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC), Lower Parel, and Nariman Point.

Because of its prime location and world-class infrastructure, Worli continues to witness strong demand in the luxury housing market. Real estate analysts say several high-value property deals have been recorded in the area in recent years.

Shreya Ghoshal’s Journey in the Music Industry

Shreya Ghoshal is widely regarded as one of India’s most successful playback singers. She first rose to fame after winning the music reality show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa and made her Bollywood debut with the film Devdas in 2002.

Over the years, she has delivered numerous hit songs in Hindi as well as several regional languages including Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam. Her soulful voice and versatility have earned her multiple awards and a huge fan following across the country.

The purchase of this luxury apartment reflects the growing trend of celebrities investing in premium real estate in Mumbai.
