Monsoon Withdraws, Sudden Change in Weather Brings Relief

The monsoon has officially withdrawn from Punjab and Chandigarh, but a sudden change in weather on Tuesday night brought short spells of rain in some areas, offering relief from the prevailing heat. According to the Meteorological Department, the weather is expected to remain dry until October 3.

Light to Moderate Rain Predicted in Punjab

Weather experts forecast that on October 4, a few places in Punjab may experience light rainfall, while on October 5 and 6, several districts are likely to witness light to moderate showers.

Meanwhile, Punjab’s average maximum temperature dropped slightly by 0.4°C to 35°C, bringing it close to normal levels. Bathinda recorded the highest temperature at 37.5°C.

Reason Behind Weather Change

Experts suggest that a low-pressure area over the Arabian Sea is influencing the wind patterns, leading to changes in weather conditions across Punjab. As a result, the sky may remain partly cloudy with occasional changes, though the system is not expected to cause any major impact.
