Domestic Dispute Turns Fatal in Jalandhar
A shocking murder case has surfaced from Jalandhar, where a husband allegedly killed his wife during a heated domestic argument. The incident took place in the Sagar Enclave area under Lambra police station limits and has created panic among local residents. According to police officials, the accused attacked his wife with a frying pan during an argument inside their rented house.
The deceased woman has been identified as Sita, a native of Nepal. Police said the couple had recently shifted to the locality and were living there on rent for the last few days. The sudden and brutal nature of the incident has left neighbors shocked.
Fight Broke Out While Woman Was Cooking
As per initial police investigation, the incident occurred while the woman was preparing food in the kitchen. Their children had reportedly gone to work at the time of the incident. During this period, an argument broke out between husband and wife over an undisclosed issue.
The accused, identified as Santosh, allegedly lost his temper and attacked Sita with an iron frying pan lying in the kitchen. The blow landed on her head and proved fatal. She died on the spot due to severe injuries before any medical help could arrive.
Neighbors informed the police immediately after hearing noise and learning about the incident. The crime scene drew attention from local residents, who gathered outside the house after the murder.
Accused Reaches Police Station and Surrenders
After committing the crime, the accused reportedly walked into the police station and surrendered before officials. Police teams from Lambra police station along with senior officers reached the spot soon after receiving information.
The body of the deceased was taken into custody and sent for postmortem examination at the civil hospital. Officials have begun questioning nearby residents and collecting evidence from the crime scene.
Police sources said the family had moved into the rented accommodation nearly 15 days ago. Investigators are now trying to determine the exact reason behind the argument and whether there had been previous incidents of domestic violence in the family.

Authorities have registered a murder case and initiated further investigation. Police are also speaking to relatives and acquaintances to gather more details about the couple’s relationship and background.
