Public Concern and Security Measures
The recurring instances of violent crimes and open-air firing in Ludhiana have sparked profound anxiety among citizens, traders, and opposition leaders who demand immediate, strict action from the administration. Local trade associations have expressed deep resentment over declining safety standards, warning of potential protests if law and order is not restored firmly. In response, police authorities have heightened patrolling across vulnerable commercial zones, set up aggressive naka checkpoints at city entry and exit points, and assured the public that the perpetrators will be apprehended and brought to justice swiftly.
