What Happened?

A tragic plane crash in the U.S. state of Missouri claimed the lives of 12 people on June 14, 2026. Authorities said the aircraft, carrying a pilot and 11 skydivers, crashed shortly after taking off from Butler Memorial Airport near Kansas City. All occupants on board were killed.

Details of the Crash

According to local officials, the aircraft reportedly failed to gain sufficient altitude after takeoff. Witnesses said the plane made a sharp turn before crashing into a field near the airport. Emergency responders quickly reached the scene and extinguished a fire that broke out following the impact.

Investigation Underway

The aircraft has been identified as a Pacific Aerospace 750XL, a model commonly used for skydiving operations. The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) have launched an investigation into the cause of the accident. Investigators are expected to examine maintenance records, weather conditions, and the pilot’s history.

Community in Shock

Officials confirmed that some family members and friends of the victims were present at the airport and witnessed the crash. Counseling services are being provided to support affected families and the local community. The names of the victims have not yet been released pending notification of next of kin.
