Microsoft rolls out the 25H2 update

Microsoft has officially released the Windows 11 25H2 update, bringing several exciting and useful features. The update enhances user experience with AI integration, improved design, and a new self-repair system. From the Start Menu to the Photos app, everything now looks more modern and intelligent.

1. Smarter, customizable Start Menu

The Start Menu now offers full customization. Users can view apps by category, alphabet, or grid layout. The “Recommended” section can be removed, and a new Phone Link panel allows direct access to your phone’s photos, messages, and notifications.

2. Color-coded battery icon

The new battery indicator shows both percentage and color codes — green for charging, yellow for battery saver, and red for low battery. Laptop users can now check battery levels instantly without hovering the cursor.

3. AI photo editing from File Explorer

File Explorer now includes AI-powered editing tools accessible with a right-click — including background blur, object erase, and remove background. Bing Visual Search can also be launched directly from the Explorer.

4. Photos app gets a mobile-style upgrade

The Photos App now rivals mobile editing tools with AI features for background removal, color correction, object transformation, and creative blur effects. Integration with Microsoft Designer enables users to add stickers and make advanced edits easily.

5. Improved voice typing and control

The Voice Access tool now includes a new Fluid Dictation feature that removes filler words like “um” or “uh” and automatically corrects grammar and punctuation. You can even open apps using voice commands such as “Open Work Email.”

6. Enhanced privacy and transparency

Windows 11 now shows which apps recently accessed AI models or device sensors like the camera and microphone. Users can revoke permissions anytime. The Windows Hello login interface has also been redesigned for a faster and clearer experience.

7. Automatic system recovery

The highlight of this update is Quick Machine Recovery, which allows Windows to detect crashes or blue screens, automatically enter recovery mode, and apply fixes without manual intervention.
