Meeting Highlights: Diwali Wishes and Development Talks
Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde met Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his residence in New Delhi on Saturday. Shinde extended Diwali and New Year greetings, presenting the Prime Minister with a shawl, bouquet, and a statue of Saint Tukaram Maharaj.
The meeting lasted around one and a half hours, during which important political and administrative topics between the central and state governments were discussed.
PM Modi Urges NDA Unity
Prime Minister Modi urged all National Democratic Alliance (NDA) partners to stay united in thought and action to strengthen the alliance. He also conveyed Diwali greetings to the Shinde family.
The meeting further focused on center-state cooperation and strategies for upcoming development projects.
Mahayuti and NDA Committed to Development: Shinde
Deputy CM Shinde emphasized that the Mahayuti and NDA coalition remain committed to the agenda of development. Regarding upcoming local body elections, he said that decisions on seat sharing and strategy will be taken by senior leaders.
Calling these polls “grassroots elections,” Shinde also appealed for restraint within the alliance amid the ongoing dispute between Congress MLA Ravindra Dhangekar and BJP leader Murlidhar Mohol.
‘Modi Ka Mission’ Book Released
On Friday, a felicitation volume titled ‘Modi Ka Mission’ was released at Raj Bhavan, Mumbai. The event was attended by Governor Acharya Devvrat, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy CM Eknath Shinde, and Legislative Council Chairman Ram Shinde.
Speakers at the ceremony praised PM Modi’s leadership and achievements. Governor Devvrat quoted the Bhagavad Gita’s verse “Yada Yada Hi Dharmasya”, calling Modi not just a Prime Minister but an idea, a spiritual force, an inspiration, and the pride of the nation.
