Voting on November 11, Results on November 14
The Election Commission of India (ECI) on Monday, October 6, 2025, announced the schedule for bypolls to eight assembly constituencies across seven states and one Union Territory, including Jammu and Kashmir.
Voting for all these seats will take place on November 11, 2025, and the counting of votes and results will be declared on November 14, 2025.
Reason Behind the Bypolls
The need for these by-elections has arisen due to various reasons — resignations, deaths, or disqualifications of sitting members.
With the announcement of the election schedule, political activity has intensified in the affected regions, and the Model Code of Conduct has come into immediate effect.
