The deceased has been identified as Gulshan Kumar, also known as Bagga, a resident of Janakpuri, Ludhiana. He was travelling on a motorcycle with his 62-year-old wife, Manpreet Kaur. As they approached the area near Radha Swami Satsang Ghar in Goraya, Gulshan Kumar reportedly dozed off while riding. Due to the brief lapse in attention, the motorcycle lost balance and plunged into a roadside ditch. Both husband and wife were thrown into the ditch after the impact.
Husband Dies on the Spot
The accident proved fatal for Gulshan Kumar, who succumbed to his injuries at the scene. Eyewitnesses and local residents rushed to help after witnessing the incident. Emergency services were informed immediately, and rescue efforts were initiated. Unfortunately, despite quick assistance, the elderly rider could not be saved.
Wife Battles Serious Injuries
Manpreet Kaur sustained severe injuries in the crash. She was provided initial medical assistance and later transported by ambulance to the Civil Hospital in Phillaur for treatment. Doctors are reportedly monitoring her condition closely. Family members were informed about the accident, and prayers are being offered for her speedy recovery.
