Guru Randhawa Gym Firing: Delhi Police Arrest Two Lawrence Bishnoi Gang Shooters After Fierce Encounter

Date:

Major Breakthrough for Delhi Police Special Cell

In a high-stakes operation, the Counter Intelligence Unit (CIU) of the Delhi Police Special Cell has made a major breakthrough in the ongoing investigation into the firing at Punjabi singer Guru Randhawa’s gym. Exactly 14 days after the brazen daylight attack, intelligence tracking led law enforcement to the doorsteps of the masterminds. Following a fierce gunfight in Delhi’s Paschim Vihar area, the police managed to intercept and neutralize two highly dangerous shooters associated with the notorious Lawrence Bishnoi and Anil Pandit criminal syndicates.

High-Octane Encounter in Paschim Vihar

The arrest unfolded late at night after the Special Cell received specific actionable intelligence indicating that the suspects were hiding out in the national capital and plotting another high-profile target execution. Armed with tactical gear, a special police unit set up a strategic blockade in the Paschim Vihar locality. When the suspects approached on a motorcycle and were ordered to surrender, they immediately opened fire at the police team in a desperate attempt to flee. In the subsequent retaliatory firing by the police, both criminals were shot in their legs, successfully incapacitating them on the spot before they were rushed to a nearby medical facility under heavy guard.

Suspects Identified as Haryana Locals with Pak-Made Arms

Following their arrest, the Delhi Police identified the two shooters as Hakikat and Sagar, both hailing from Sonipat, Haryana. Preliminary interrogation confirmed their deep operational ties to the transnational alliance of the Lawrence Bishnoi and Anil Pandit gangs. A search of their person and vehicle yielded highly sophisticated, Pakistan-made firearms along with live ammunition and the motorcycle utilized during their recent escape trails. The recovery of foreign-made weapons indicates a deeply entrenched cross-border logistical pipeline fueling domestic gang activities.

Looking Back: The June 11 Attack on “24 Hours Fitness”

The entire saga traces back to June 11, 2026, when terror struck the upscale locality of Paschim Vihar. A group of masked assailants approached “24 Hours Fitness,” a premium gymnasium chain owned by internationally acclaimed Punjabi pop star Guru Randhawa. The criminals unleashed an indiscriminate barrage of bullets directly at the glass facade of the commercial building. Although the sudden attack caused immense panic among fitness enthusiasts and staff, miraculous timing ensured that no casualties or severe physical injuries were recorded on the fateful afternoon.

The Salman Khan Closeness Angle & Gang Rivalry

Shortly after the shooting incident, the Lawrence Bishnoi gang explicitly claimed absolute responsibility for the attack via a series of anonymous social media posts. The motives became much clearer when an authenticated audio clip went viral across digital platforms. In the recording, gang commanders warned that Guru Randhawa’s growing proximity and visible public associations with Bollywood superstar Salman Khan—who remains a primary target for the Bishnoi syndicate—served as the direct catalyst for making his business venture a high-risk target.

Expanding the Investigation and Prior Arrests

This double capture marks the third and fourth major apprehensions in this specific case. Previously, on June 17, the Crime Branch of the Delhi Police cracked the initial network by arresting two vital conduits, identified as Aman and Tushar. Information extracted from their custodial interrogation provided the critical breadcrumbs required by the Special Cell to map out the physical hideout of the main shooters. All four accused are currently undergoing rigorous joint interrogation to unearth the larger conspiracy, uncover further hidden modules, and prevent impending gangland hits across northern India.
