How to Watch IPL 2026 Live Streaming: ₹44 Pack, JioHotstar Plans and Telecom Offers Explained

Date:

IPL 2026 Streaming Moves to JioHotstar

The excitement around the Indian Premier League 2026 has begun, and millions of cricket fans are searching for the easiest way to watch matches live on their phones and smart TVs. This year, the digital streaming landscape has changed significantly after the merger of JioCinema and Disney+ Hotstar, which created the new platform JioHotstar.

Unlike previous seasons where fans could watch matches for free on mobile apps, IPL 2026 streaming is no longer completely free. Users now need a subscription or telecom bundle to watch matches online. However, several telecom companies including Reliance Jio, Bharti Airtel, and Vodafone Idea are offering affordable recharge packs that include streaming access.

These special recharge plans allow cricket lovers to enjoy matches without purchasing a separate OTT subscription.

₹44 Recharge Pack and Budget Streaming Options

One of the most talked-about recharge options for IPL streaming is the ₹44 pack, which is being promoted as a budget option for viewers who want temporary access to live matches.

Telecom companies are introducing such sachet-style packs to attract users who only want short-term data access for watching cricket matches.

These low-cost plans usually provide additional mobile data and limited access to the streaming platform. However, in most cases users must already have an active base recharge plan to use these add-ons.

Such packs are designed mainly for fans who want to watch a few matches without committing to a full subscription plan.

Jio Recharge Plans With JioHotstar Subscription

Among telecom operators, Reliance Jio has launched several recharge plans bundled with the streaming subscription.

One of the popular plans costs around ₹949 and offers 84 days of validity with daily data benefits along with a three-month subscription to JioHotstar. This allows users to stream all IPL matches without paying separately for the OTT platform.

Additionally, Jio has introduced data booster packs that provide extra data for streaming matches in HD quality. These boosters are useful for users who already have a subscription but need additional data during live matches.

Airtel and Vi Plans for IPL Streaming

Other telecom companies have also launched similar plans.

Bharti Airtel offers recharge packs that include mobile data along with bundled access to the streaming platform. Some plans provide 28-day validity while others include longer access periods for frequent viewers.

Meanwhile, Vodafone Idea (Vi) is targeting budget users with low-cost data vouchers. These vouchers add extra data to existing plans so that customers can stream matches without exhausting their daily data limit.

These offers are especially useful during live matches, as a single IPL game can consume several gigabytes of mobile data depending on the video quality.

Where to Watch IPL 2026 Matches

For viewers who prefer watching matches on television, IPL 2026 matches are being broadcast on Star Sports channels.

Meanwhile, digital streaming is available exclusively on the JioHotstar app and website. Fans can watch matches on smartphones, laptops, tablets, and smart TVs through the platform.

The tournament started in late March and will continue for nearly two months, featuring dozens of matches and top cricket stars from around the world.

Growing Trend of Mobile Cricket Streaming

Over the past few years, more fans have shifted from television screens to mobile streaming. The convenience of watching matches anywhere—during travel, at work, or at home—has significantly increased the popularity of OTT platforms.

With telecom operators offering special recharge packs and bundled subscriptions, watching IPL online has become easier and more affordable for millions of users across India.
