Honda Cars India is preparing to unveil the updated Honda Elevate facelift on October 6, marking a significant mid-cycle refresh for the compact SUV. Designed to strengthen Honda’s position in a highly competitive market, the upcoming facelift introduces noticeable exterior cosmetic tweaks, feature additions, and interior enhancements. Teaser images released by the manufacturer highlight a bolder front aesthetic, showcasing a redesigned front grille integrated with a prominent full-width LED light bar that connects the headlights. The front bumper and air intake layout have also received revisions to give the vehicle a wider and more aggressive road stance.
Exterior Design and Feature Upgrades
The overall silhouette and key body lines of the Elevate remain recognizable, but subtle styling updates give it a modern edge. Beyond the eye-catching front LED light bar, the SUV features refreshed alloy wheels, updated lower body cladding, and subtle trim accents. In the cabin, Honda is expected to incorporate several tech-focused feature upgrades borrowed from the updated Honda City lineup. The interior layout gains an updated dashboard finish, enhanced connected car technology, and improved material quality across contact points. A major point of interest among buyers is whether Honda will introduce a panoramic sunroof, as the current model is one of the few compact SUVs in its segment lacking this highly sought-after feature.
Engine Options and Transmission Lineup
Under the hood, the Honda Elevate facelift retains its trusted internal combustion powertrain. It continues to be powered by the reliable 1.5-litre, four-cylinder, naturally aspirated i-VTEC petrol engine that generates 121 PS of peak power and 145 Nm of torque. Transmission options will remain unchanged, offering buyers a choice between a 6-speed manual transmission and a smooth CVT automatic gearbox. Buyers hoping for a strong-hybrid variant will have to wait, as Honda has decided against introducing a hybrid Elevate; instead, the automaker is focusing its efforts on developing an all-electric SUV tailored for the Indian market, expected to debut early next year.
Expected Pricing and Segment Competition
The added features and cosmetic revisions are expected to bring a slight price premium over the outgoing model. However, Honda aims to keep the pricing competitive to rival established segment contenders such as the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, and Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder. Official pricing and comprehensive specification details will be confirmed during the formal launch event on October 6.
