Pawan Kalyan Rejects Comparisons with Vijay, Says ‘It’s Like a Neighbour’s Wedding’

Date:

Pawan Kalyan Responds to Vijay Comparison

Pawan Kalyan, the Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and founder of the Jana Sena Party, has dismissed comparisons between himself and Tamil superstar-turned-politician Vijay.

During a recent public interaction, Pawan Kalyan said he does not believe two political leaders should be compared simply because both entered politics after successful careers in the film industry. He used a humorous analogy, saying such comparisons are “like discussing a neighbour’s wedding,” suggesting that every political journey is unique and should be judged on its own merits.

Unique Political Journeys

Pawan Kalyan explained that his political career has been shaped by years of grassroots activism and public engagement. He founded the Jana Sena Party in 2014 and has steadily built a support base, especially among youth and first-time voters.

Vijay, one of Tamil cinema’s biggest stars, recently entered politics through his party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK). His decision to step into politics has generated major interest across Tamil Nadu.

Pawan Kalyan Praises Vijay

While rejecting direct comparisons, Pawan Kalyan spoke respectfully about Vijay and welcomed his move into public life. He said every individual has the right to serve society and contribute to democratic politics.

He emphasized that politics is not about competing personalities but about addressing people’s problems and working for meaningful change.

Cinema Stars Entering Politics

India has a long history of actors entering politics. Leaders such as M. G. Ramachandran, N. T. Rama Rao, and J. Jayalalithaa successfully transitioned from cinema to public service.

Both Pawan Kalyan and Vijay enjoy massive fan followings, which naturally leads to public comparisons. However, political analysts note that electoral success depends on leadership, organization, and long-term public trust rather than celebrity status alone.

Fans React to the Statement

Pawan Kalyan’s comments quickly went viral on social media. Many supporters appreciated his balanced and respectful tone. Fans of both stars praised him for acknowledging Vijay’s political ambitions while also emphasizing that every leader must build their own path.

What Lies Ahead

Pawan Kalyan is currently focused on governance and strengthening his political influence in Andhra Pradesh. Vijay is preparing to establish his presence in Tamil Nadu politics ahead of upcoming elections.

Although both leaders share backgrounds in cinema, Pawan Kalyan believes that comparisons are unnecessary and that each politician should be evaluated based on their own work and commitment to the people.
