Global Launch Confirmed: Ranbir Kapoor’s ‘Ramayana’ Trailer to Premiere Worldwide on July 24

Date:

Countdown Begins for the Most Anticipated Cinematic Epic

The official countdown has officially begun for the highly anticipated trailer launch of Nitesh Tiwari’s magnum opus, ‘Ramayana’. In a massive update that has thrilled movie enthusiasts worldwide, the makers have formally locked July 24, 2026, as the global premiere date for the film’s first official look. Mounting it as one of the most ambitious projects in Indian cinema, the production team expressed that this rollout represents a brand-new milestone in presenting ancient India’s greatest civilisational epic to a global audience on an unprecedented visual scale.

Special Premiere Slated for San Diego Comic-Con 2026

The global trailer premiere timing aligns directly with the upcoming San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) 2026, creating an international launchpad for the film. Producer Namit Malhotra alongside director Nitesh Tiwari and the leading cast members are scheduled to participate in an exclusive studio panel at the convention. The presentation will take place in Ballroom 20, the second-largest venue at Comic-Con with a seating capacity of nearly 4,800 people. This prestigious international platform positions ‘Ramayana’ as a globally recognized cinematic event, setting a massive benchmark for domestic visual effects and storytelling.

Star-Studded Ensemble and Unique Narrative Structure

Boasting a massive production budget, the stellar multi-industry ensemble features Bollywood superstar Ranbir Kapoor portraying Lord Rama and Sai Pallavi essaying the role of Sita. Rocking Star Yash takes on the powerful avatar of the antagonist Ravana, while Sunny Deol embodies Hanuman and Ravie Dubey steps in as Lakshman. According to insider reports, ‘Ramayana Part 1’ will focus heavily on character world-building, allowing the audience deep insight into Ayodhya and Lanka separately. Fans expecting an immediate head-on clash between Ranbir’s Lord Rama and Yash’s Ravana will have to wait for the sequel, as the makers are carefully crafting a solid foundation for the individual kingdoms before the ultimate clash.

A Masterclass Collaboration of Global Technicians

The cinematic adaptation is leaving no stone unturned to secure its place as a benchmark in global filmmaking. The production is helmed by Prime Focus Studios in association with the Oscar-winning visual effects powerhouse DNEG. Adding to its unmatched artistic canvas, legendary Academy Award-winning composer Hans Zimmer is joining forces with Indian musical maestro A.R. Rahman to construct the background score and soundtrack. This powerful blend of international cinematic technology and native cultural roots promises to deliver an unparalleled auditory and visual feast.

Grand Phased Release Plan Set for Diwali

The cinematic journey of Nitesh Tiwari’s adaptation is planned as a detailed two-part epic. ‘Ramayana Part 1’ is firmly locked for a grand theatrical release worldwide during the festive season of Diwali 2026, whereas the concluding chapter, ‘Ramayana Part 2’, is targeted to arrive in theatres exactly a year later during Diwali 2027. Ahead of the worldwide July 24 digital release, the makers will also hold an exclusive, closely-guarded press launch event at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, kickstarting a high-octane domestic promotional campaign that will run alongside its global marketing push.
