PSEB Offers Special Mercy Chance for Class 10 & 12 Students

Date:

Relief for Thousands of Students in Punjab

The Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) has announced a major relief initiative for thousands of students across Punjab. Those who were unable to clear their Class 10 or Class 12 board examinations over the past several years have now been given a golden opportunity to complete their education.

Under this special provision, the board has introduced a one-time “mercy chance” exam, allowing eligible candidates to reappear and secure their certificates. This move is expected to benefit a large number of students who had previously exhausted all their reappear or compartment attempts.

Who Can Apply for This Special Opportunity?

The mercy chance exam is specifically designed for students who appeared for board exams between March 2010 and March 2025 but failed to pass. It also includes those whose reappear opportunities have already been exhausted.

Additionally, students who appeared between March 2010 and March 2026 and failed—provided they passed at least one main subject—are also eligible to apply. This initiative ensures that students who were left behind due to academic setbacks now have another chance to rebuild their future.

Application Process and Deadline

The application process for this special exam has already begun and is being conducted online through the official PSEB website. Interested candidates can submit their applications until May 25, 2026.

Detailed instructions, eligibility criteria, and application forms are available on the board’s official portal. Students are advised to carefully review all guidelines before applying to avoid any errors.

Opportunity for Open School Students as Well

This mercy chance is not limited to regular students. It is also available for candidates enrolled under the open school stream, ensuring inclusivity and equal opportunity for all learners.

The initiative reflects the board’s commitment to improving educational outcomes and supporting students in completing their academic journey successfully.

A Golden Chance to Shape the Future

The special mercy chance exam is being seen as a significant step toward academic inclusivity. It provides students with a rare opportunity to complete their pending education and move forward with better career prospects.

For many students, this could be a life-changing chance to restart their academic journey and secure a stable future.
