Police File Case Against Former SHO of Phillaur
Jalandhar/Phillaur: The troubles of former SHO of Phillaur police station, Bhushan Kumar, have deepened as a case has been registered against him. Following the directions of SSP Harvinder Singh Virk, the case was filed after an audio and video of Bhushan Kumar went viral on social media. Police have registered the report under sections 504 of CrPC, 334/14-10-2025, 75(1) BNS, 67(D) Police Act, and 67 IT Act.

Background of the Case
Earlier, Bhushan Kumar was suspended for allegedly calling the mother of a rape survivor alone to the police station. Now, another woman has come forward accusing him of harassment. She provided the media with an audio and video call recording, allegedly showing the SHO without clothes. The woman said she gained courage to speak up after watching news about another victim and revealed that her daughter was also harassed. According to her, the SHO repeatedly tried to contact her husband and daughter through phone and video calls, forcing the family to leave their home.

SHO Bhushan Kumar Denies Allegations
Bhushan Kumar has denied all accusations, calling them baseless and part of a conspiracy against him. He claimed that a gang is spreading false information and that the truth will come out through CCTV footage from the police station. He also alleged that he received threatening calls from a Pakistan-based number.
