‘Terror Will Not Go Unanswered’: Defence Forces Mark Operation Sindoor Anniversary

Date:

India Reaffirms Zero Tolerance Against Terrorism

On the first anniversary of Operation Sindoor, India’s defence forces delivered a strong message against terrorism, stating that any terror attack against the nation would receive a decisive response. Senior military officials highlighted the operation as a symbol of India’s determination to protect its sovereignty and citizens from cross-border terrorism.

During a joint briefing, defence officials remembered the bravery of soldiers and praised the coordination between the Indian Army, Air Force, and intelligence agencies. The operation, which was launched after the deadly Pahalgam terror attack in 2025, is being seen as a major moment in India’s modern counter-terror strategy.

Operation Sindoor: A Strong Military Response

Operation Sindoor was carried out as a retaliatory action against terror camps located across the border. According to defence sources, the mission targeted multiple terror launch pads and infrastructure used by extremist groups operating against India. The operation involved precision strikes using advanced weapons systems and coordinated planning among different branches of the armed forces.

Officials stated that the operation demonstrated India’s capability to conduct fast, precise, and intelligence-based military actions. The armed forces also underlined that the mission was aimed specifically at terror infrastructure and not civilian targets.

Air Force Highlights Operational Success

Deputy Chief of Air Staff Air Marshal A. K. Bharti addressed the media during the anniversary briefing and emphasized that India’s response to terrorism would remain firm and uncompromising. He noted that the operation showcased the growing strength of India’s defence systems and the effectiveness of modern warfare technology.

Reports released during the anniversary events claimed that several Pakistani airfields and terror-linked facilities were neutralized during the operation. Military officials also stressed the role of indigenous defence technologies and surveillance systems in ensuring mission success.

Leaders Praise Armed Forces

Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute to the armed forces and reiterated India’s commitment to defeating terrorism. He described Operation Sindoor as a reflection of India’s courage and national unity.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh also praised the armed forces and stated that India acted on its own terms during the operation. He added that the country is fully prepared to respond to any future threat.

Several political leaders and military veterans called the operation a turning point in India’s security doctrine. Analysts believe that Operation Sindoor has strengthened India’s deterrence posture in the region and sent a clear warning against terror groups operating with external support.

National Security Remains Top Priority

Security experts say the anniversary of Operation Sindoor comes at a time when India continues to focus on strengthening border security, cyber defence, and intelligence coordination. The armed forces have repeatedly stressed that national security will remain non-negotiable.

Military officials concluded the briefing by saying that India seeks peace but will never tolerate terrorism or threats to its citizens. The message from the anniversary event was clear — any attack on India will receive a strong and calculated response.
