IMD Weather Alert
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued warnings of continuous rainfall over the next 5 days in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura.
Rain in Northern India
Due to changing weather patterns, several areas in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and Bihar experienced rain on Monday, October 6, 2025. On Tuesday, October 7, light to moderate rain is expected in many regions. Delhi will see cloudy skies with possible scattered showers.
UP Weather Update
In Uttar Pradesh, Tuesday will bring rain and strong winds, particularly in western districts. According to the IMD, rainfall intensity will decrease from October 7, with western UP seeing reduced showers by October 8 and eastern UP by October 9. After this, the weather is expected to return to dry and normal conditions.
Forecasted districts in UP likely to experience rain with thunder include:
Varanasi, Sonbhadra, Mirzapur, Chandauli, Ghazipur, Jaunpur, Sitapur, Ambedkar Nagar, Basti, Ayodhya, Gonda, Balrampur, Shrawasti, Bahraich, Barabanki, Lakhimpur Kheri, Hardoi, Kannauj, Auraiya, Badaun, Bareilly, Rampur, Sambhal, and Moradabad.
Bihar Weather Update
Bihar is expected to experience light to moderate rain along with thunderstorms over the next 2–3 days, especially in northeastern regions and surrounding areas.
South India Rain Forecast
Heavy rainfall is also expected in parts of Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, and Andhra Pradesh until October 10, with IMD issuing warnings for these states.
Rajasthan & Monsoon Return
Several areas in Rajasthan have already recorded hailstorms and heavy rain, with eastern Rajasthan likely to continue experiencing thunderstorms. The IMD noted that the monsoon’s return process will continue over the next 3–4 days.
