As September draws to a close, Bollywood is preparing for an action-packed October packed with high-profile theatrical releases. Capitalizing on the festive spirit, long weekends, and growing excitement among film enthusiasts, Hindi cinema is presenting an extensive slate of movies spanning diverse genres. Audiences can look forward to high-stakes crime thrillers, laugh-out-loud comedies, gripping biographical dramas, and refreshing romantic tales. Major stars including Ajay Devgn, Ayushmann Khurrana, Yami Gautam, and Rajkummar Rao are set to grace the silver screen in some of the most anticipated projects of the year.

Drishyam: The Conclusion and Prem Keetanu Set the Stage on October 2

The month kicks off on October 2 with the grand return of Vijay Salgaonkar in Drishyam: The Conclusion (Drishyam 3). Directed by Abhishek Pathak, this final installment of the iconic franchise sees Ajay Devgn reprising his legendary role to protect his family at any cost. Tabu, Shriya Saran, Rajat Kapoor, and Ishita Dutta return alongside fresh additions Jaideep Ahlawat and Prakash Raj. Releasing on the same day is Prem Keetanu, directed by Apurva Singh Karki and starring Veer Pahariya in his second theatrical outing after Sky Force. The youth drama delves into the chaotic lives, love stories, and career struggles of college students.

Udta Teer Brings Hilarious Comedy to Theatres on October 9

On October 9, audiences will get to experience Udta Teer, a unique comedy directed by Aakash Kaushik. The film pairs Ayushmann Khurrana and Sara Ali Khan in a story about a Pakistani spy who slips into India on a covert mission but loses his memory following a sudden accident. Believing himself to be a patriotic Indian, his identity crisis leads to endless hilarious misunderstandings. The movie boasts an ensemble supporting cast, including Ram Kapoor, Rahul Bose, Gulshan Grover, Mukul Dev, Raghubir Yadav, Brijendra Kala, Supriya Pilgaonkar, and Smita Tambe.

Double Big Screen Clashes on October 16 with Prahaar and Nayyi Navelli

Mid-October brings two contrasting releases on October 16. Prahaar: The Untold Story of Ujjwal Nikam, directed by Avinash Arun, stars Rajkummar Rao as the famed prosecutor who represented the state during the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks trial. Lalit Prabhakar essays the role of Ajmal Kasab, supported by Wamiqa Gabbi, Jaideep Ahlawat, and Sikandar Kher. Releasing alongside it is Nayyi Navelli, starring Yami Gautam and Adinath Kothare. Directed by Balaji Mohan, this quirky horror-comedy revolves around a seemingly ideal bride who organizes a chaotic household in Meerut, only for her suspicious brother-in-law to suspect she might actually be a witch.

Fresh Romance Closes Out the Month on October 23

Rounding out the month on October 23 is Pehla Pyaar Doosri Baar, a modern romantic drama backed by renowned filmmaker Luv Ranjan. Designed as a fresh take on contemporary relationships, the film introduces six new faces to Hindi cinema: Alisha Chopra, Sparsh Walia, Sakshi Vaidya, Kunal Vaid, Sargun Kaur Luthra, and Tushar Chhibbar. With its well-balanced scheduling across all four weekends, October 2026 offers an unforgettable cinematic feast for movie lovers of every preference.
