Shiromani Akali Dal’s senior leader Daljit Singh Cheema announced the decision on social media. In his tweet, he confirmed that the party has expelled Jagdeep Singh Cheema from its primary membership.

Party President Sukhbir Singh Badal Took Action

According to the statement, SAD President Sukhbir Singh Badal took serious note of the report submitted by the Fatehgarh Sahib district unit and other senior leaders regarding anti-party activities by Jagdeep Singh Cheema.

Decision After Consultation with High Command

After discussing the matter with the party high command, the leadership decided to terminate Jagdeep Singh Cheema’s basic membership of the Shiromani Akali Dal.

Strong Message to Party Cadre

With this expulsion, the Shiromani Akali Dal has sent a clear message that anti-party activities will not be tolerated, regardless of the seniority of the leader.
